
Throughout October, we celebrate the enduring legacy and vibrant culture of Italian Americans. We honor their significant contributions to art, science, cuisine, and countless other fields that have enriched our nation's tapestry.


This October, we recognize the resilience, achievements, and ongoing advocacy of individuals with disabilities. We reaffirm our commitment to creating a more inclusive society and celebrate the diverse perspectives and talents that enrich our communities.


Wilson fifth grade students, guided by Señora Mattos, created flags representing Spanish-speaking countries as part of their studies during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Wilson students and staff kicked off the Week of Respect by wearing mismatched outfits, showing that we respect our differences and that they make us special.

Wilson students built unique model homes inspired by the works of artist Beverly Buchanan. Using found objects, they brought imagination to life, transforming everyday items into art with Mrs. Collins during our STEAM afterschool program.





Our first graders had a special visit from Mr. Uveges, our student support counselor. He shared the heartfelt story "The Rabbit Listened," highlighting the power of listening—both in his role and in our everyday lives.

First grade students in Mrs. Morris' class teamed up to play the game "Rolling for 50." It helps students explore ways to visualize counting and enhances their math skills.




Students in Mrs. Greczek's class got comfy with their realistic fiction books, diving into stories that reflect real-life experiences.They took time to make predictions, jot down key ideas, and pose intriguing questions.





Wilson students, staff, and families showed up in red for Walk and Bike to School Day. It was amazing to see our community come together to promote safety, fitness, and fun.



First Graders had an apple-solutely awesome week in 1G to celebrate the first week of fall! They learned how apples grow, visited a virtual apple orchard, read the folktale of J ohnny Appleseed, and conducted a science experiment with apples.







Ms. O'Neill's class went on a soil walk, digging deep into the fascinating properties of different soil samples found right here on the Wilson property.




Our fifth grade musicians are jumping back into their musical studies with Mrs. Webber.

Our fourth grade artists are working on still life drawings, taking inspiration from the Cuban artist Amelia Peláez—a contemporary of Picasso, as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.








Students in Mr. Borchin's class teamed up to explore the characters of Pecan Pie Baby. They shared their insights with one another, sparking some amazing conversations.


Wilson first graders had an introductory lesson with our school nurse, Mrs. Finn. They learned what she does to keep our school community safe and when they should visit her office.

Wilson students kicked off their chemistry STEAM class with an "explosive" experiment.They built their own volcano models and watched science come to life as they explored the fizzing chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar. The first investigation was a blast—literally!

Every day in Mrs. Sapuppo's class starts with creativity, as students dive into their journals to respond to thought-provoking prompts. But on Free-Write Fridays, the sky's the limit—they get to explore and write about any topic that inspires them!
