September is Suicide Prevention Month. During "Thursday Table Talks" at WHS, students learned about "Project Semicolon" to symbolize the continuation of a person's life and shared what makes them feel alive, (including music and caffeine) on the ALIVE Board. They also got a chance to meet the WHS Student Assistance Coordinators (SACs).


From September 15 to October 15, we celebrate the rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions, and invaluable contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to our nation. We honor the resilience, creativity, and vibrant spirit of Hispanic communities that have shaped and continue to enrich our society in countless ways. #WPSCelebratesDiversity

Field Day Fun! Wilson students rotated through a series of stations facilitated by Wilson alum and parent volunteers. Thank you to Mr. Ciemniecki for organizing this day for our school!





Our third grade students deepened their understanding of how immigration has influenced our country and how people from diverse cultures have contributed to the development of an American culture during their trip to the Statue of Liberty.

Students is Mr. Samarco's class are working on bold, colorful pieces inspired by painter Reginald Laurent in art class with Mrs. Collins.





Wilson's first graders went to see a musical based on the book Ada Twist Scientist. It highlighted STEM curriculum, while touching on themes of collaboration, friendship, and resilience.



May 13-17 is Allergy Awareness week. Our first graders had a lesson from a Wilson alum about how to support friends with food allergies using the book The Princess and the Peanut Allergy by Wendy McClure.
