On Day 2 of our Week of Respect, students and staff sported their favorite team gear to show that no matter who we cheer for, we’re all on Team Respect.

Wilson’s 1st–3rd graders had a great time learning about fire safety with Captain Karl and the Westfield Fire Department. Don’t forget to make a family fire escape plan.

Wilson students and families participated in our local Walk & Bike to School Day. The event encourages active lifestyles while supporting both student well-being and a healthier environment for our community.

Our fifth grade students engaged in the spaghetti marshmallow tower challenge. The laughter, problem-solving, and teamwork filled the fifth grade hallway with energy and excitement. One thing’s for sure: when we work together, anything is “pastable”!

This year, our art teacher, Mrs. Collins, organized a collaborative art project inspired by Japanese artist and former teacher, Takashi Murakami’s iconic flower designs. Each student and staff member created a unique flower 🌸🌼 to contribute to our bulletin board, resulting in colorful reminder that we’re all blooming together as a community this year!

Mrs. Schreier’s students harvested tomatoes and peppers while learning how to care for our garden.

Our student support counselor stopped by first grade classes to introduce himself. He shared the story, The Rabbit Listened, reminding students that one of the most important parts of his job at Wilson is being there to listen.

Students enjoyed their first Wilson Book Fair of the school year. It will be open until Wednesday at 9:30 AM for any last-minute finds.

Chef Ferreira’s class enjoyed a “book tasting” of different genres to prepare for their new unit.

Students are learning teamwork, communication, and movement skills in gym class.

It takes a village to start a school year strong. Thank you to our amazing Wilson and Westfield community for making it possible! 💙

Recess gives our students the opportunity to laugh, play, and connect with friends.

Student voices leading the way! Our first duo of 5th graders launched the day with morning announcements.

🎶Our Wilson Wizards are getting back into the rhythm of the new school year with Mr. Norkus during music class. 🎶

Wilson’s first graders met their teacher and classmates and shared their first story together as they get ready to begin their journey as Wilson students tomorrow.

This afternoon, Wilson staff put the finishing touches on their classrooms. We can’t wait to meet our students and kick off an amazing year together!

This morning, Wilson staff joined colleagues from across the district to learn and grow together. By collaborating as one big school community, we’re building stronger connections and fresh ideas to support all of our students.

Westfield High School students from the No Place for Hate group visited our 5th graders for a lesson on building a kind, inclusive school community. Through thoughtful conversations and activities, students explored what it means to be an upstander, recognize bias, and help make our school a safe, welcoming place for everyone.
