
To celebrate Music in Our Schools Month, the Roosevelt 8th Grade Band, led by Mr. James Doyle, performed for our students and encouraged them to make music every day!



In celebration of Read Across America Week, our PTO is collecting gently used, age-appropriate books to share the joy of reading.



Wilson welcomed author/illustrator David Biedrzycki, who inspired students with the message that ideas are everywhere and mistakes are okay. He shared his creative process, read his books, and created custom drawings for each presentation.







On Wednesdays, our amazing pizza volunteers for making lunchtime extra special!



Wilson started Read Across America Week with a page-turning celebration! The whole school took part in a Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) time, diving into their favorite books and sharing the joy of reading.











Wilson families and friends had a fantastic time playing BINGO at our second PTO Family Game Night.










Wilson’s 4th graders took a journey through history. They visited the Martin Luther King, Jr. Association’s exhibit at Roosevelt Intermediate School, where they learned about Black history in Westfield and the impact of local changemakers.






Scientists in Mrs. Willis' class explored how magnets attract and repel each other, making exciting discoveries with their partners.








February is National Children’s Dental Health Month! Wilson’s first graders had a special visit from local dental professionals, who taught them the importance of brushing, flossing, and making smile-safe food choices.




Wilson’s Valentine’s Day celebrations were filled with fun and creativity. They included catapult design challenges, team heart-stacking races, and painting.











Wilson celebrated a huge milestone—our 100th Day of School—with fun activities that highlighted just how much our students have grown and learned this year.

Dating back to 1885, George Washington’s birthday was the first federal holiday honoring an individual’s birth date. In 1971, it moved to the third Monday in February, falling between Washington and Abraham Lincoln’s birthdays, inspiring the name Presidents Day. #PresidentsDay

Students across all grade levels participated in a design challenge this week. The projects ranged from designing unique animals to building a cup holder out of pipe cleaners.

During Spanish, fourth grade students engaged in a small-group game to reinforce the names of sports.









Wilson students wrapped up the Great Kindness Challenge in the coziest way possible—Dreaming of Kindness Pajama Day. Our school has spent the week spreading positivity and making a difference. Kindness doesn’t stop here—let’s keep the kindness going every day!






Some Wilson students painted Kindness Rocks to share uplifting messages. These little works of art will be placed around our community as reminders that kindness is everywhere!
