To kick off their investigation of the essential question—“What can we learn about animals that lived in the past by studying their skeletons?”—Mrs. Stanzel’s third graders observed their partners jumping rope. Through this hands-on activity, they made connections between movement and skeletal structure, bringing science to life in a fun and engaging way.

Our Recess Runners program is off to a great start! Today, several students hit the track for some fun and fitness. Recess Runners meet every Tuesday and Thursday. We are looking for a few more parent volunteers to support this program.

During Community Service Week, Wilson students raised over $2,000 for the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad through our Penny Wars Challenge! Today, our fourth graders had the special honor of presenting the donation to this incredible organization.
A huge thank you to our students, families, and staff for your generosity and community spirit!


Restroom renovations are proposed to update plumbing and electrical systems and improve accessibility. Bond funding, with the help of state debt service aid, makes it possible to address these capital improvements in a timely manner. westfieldnjk12.org/vote


Music filled the air as our first through fourth graders took the stage, performing for (and with) their families in a heartwarming celebration of Music in Our Schools Month! 🎤🎼

Wilson fourth graders put their critical thinking skills to work. Using graphic organizers, they crafted well-structured opinion essays on a hot topic: Should students have cell phones ?




Wilson first graders had an inspiring day at the theater watching Dot, Dot, Dot, a musical based on Peter H. Reynolds’ Creatrilogy! The show brought The Dot, Ish, and Sky Color to life, celebrating creativity, confidence, perseverance, and friendship.
