We were able to bring back the Wilson STEAM after-school program this year. Thank you to the teachers who facilitated classes on a range of topics including Cooking for Kids, STEAM Challenges, Lego Masters, and Crafty Creations, and to the PTO for organizing it.

Reminder: Schools will be closed this Friday, May 26 through next Tuesday, May 30.

Students in class 4W read historical fiction novels and created a scrapbook detailing the highlights. They included journal and letter writing, and pictures from that time period.

Wilson's spring concerts concluded with our fourth and fifth grade orchestra. They performed several selections for the school, under the direction of Mrs. Naylor.

Students in class 5V worked in small groups to determine the relationships between organisms in a woodland ecosystem. Then they came together as a class to discuss their findings.

Students in 5K have enjoyed reading, annotating, and connecting to poetry. They found a true passion for poetry while reading Unfolding Bud and The Eagle. Groups discussed each poem’s meaning and theme, as well as connecting the poem to real life situations.

Students in Mr. Samarco's class created a model to help them understand water erosion and investigate its impact on landforms.

Our fifth grade band and chorus students performed for their peers, under the direction of Mr. Stouffer and Mrs. Webber. This is Mr. Stouffer's 25th and final year with the district. Thank you for all that you have done for our students.

Students in class 5K collected, analyzed and represented fractional data on line plots. Students used their line plot to identify the maximum length, minimum length, range, mode, median and mean by applying the operation skills of fractions to solve problems.

Here are a few more photos from Wilson's first annual Multicultural Festival, organized by our PTO.

Wilson held its first annual Multicultural Festival. Students, families, and staff learned about different countries and cultures, while sampling delicious dishes. Thank you to our PTO for organizing it and to all of the volunteers.
