There was much excitement spreading through the halls of Lincoln School. Students have delighted in the many winter themed lessons and are making great connections to their experiences outside of Lincoln School. All are looking forward to a well-deserved winter break!

Physical Education: in this month’s unit of study, Kindergarten students are learning to use scooters! Working in partnerships, students use gross motor movements and coordination to propel themselves across the Multipurpose Room floor. Kneeling, backwards seated, on our bellies, and on our bottoms were the positions practiced last week. This week students are excited for scooter tag!

Our Kindergarten mathematicians have been working on recognizing numerals, counting, and one-to-one correspondence. Students are working to understand that numerals represent specific quantities, and quantities can be manipulated through simple functions of addition and subtraction.

Pre-K students use multiple modalities for to design and build. These students are building with blocks to replicate photographed models and recreating beaded designs with 3-dimensional shapes.

Yah-Oh-Way…It is good! Thunderbird Native American Indian Dancers visited Lincoln School today! Students learned greetings, songs and dances from various Native American tribes. Thank you, Louis Cloud Standing Straight in the Sky, Matthew Corneater, and Allen Shooting Star!





Pre-K students are immersed in the study of nocturnal animals. They examine real life photos, play with figurines, read books, and create their very own nocturnal animals.
