Inspired by our reading of In the Tall, Tall Grass, our kindergarten students explored the art of weaving in the most colorful way! 🌿🐍 Using bright, “snakey” strips, students created their own patches of tall tall grass—carefully interweaving each piece to build beautiful patterns. This hands-on activity was not only fun and engaging, but also introduced the foundational skill of weaving while strengthening fine motor coordination and pattern recognition. 🌈✨

There’s something special about seasonal arts and crafts in the classroom 🌈✨ Our students had so much fun creating vibrant rainbows using small pieces of cereal and glue—an activity that was as meaningful as it was engaging! As they carefully placed each piece, they strengthened their fine motor skills, practiced color recognition, and explored seasonal vocabulary in a hands-on way. These creative moments do more than brighten our walls—they build important developmental skills while sparking joy, focus, and pride in their work. Our kindergarten mathematicians had a blast during today’s game-based math lesson! Students spun numbers to practice number recognition and one-to-one counting, then worked together on a “Ten Frame Top It” game to identify numbers, compare greater and less than, and build strong number sense. Through play and collaboration, students reinforced counting skills while cheering each other on. Learning math is even better when it’s hands-on and fun! 🎲➕

🏃‍♂️⚽ Kindergarten PE Fun in Action! ⚽🏃‍♀️ Our kindergarten students had a blast in physical education today playing a game called “Scoop and Dump!” 🧹🌿 The gym turned into a “messy backyard” as plush balls were scattered all over the floor—and it was the students’ job to clean it up! Through this playful game, students practiced: ✔️ Hand-eye coordination while scooping and carrying balls ✔️ Locomotor movements like running, walking, and bending ✔️ Spatial awareness as they navigated safely around friends and equipment Learning through movement and imagination keeps our youngest learners engaged, active, and smiling from start to finish! 💪😊
