Dr. Irene and Dr. Brett Druger visited Jefferson to celebrate Dental Health Awareness Month! They shared a valuable lesson with our first graders about the importance of regular dental check-ups, as well as brushing and flossing. To wrap up their visit, they read a delightful book about a child's first trip to the dentist that they authored themselves. It was a joy to have them with us!

Ms. Kelly brought excitement to class 1L with a fun lesson on how to keep germs at bay! The students were happy to learn effective ways to stay healthy during the indoor months. They discovered the best techniques for coughing, sneezing, and handwashing. Using a spray bottle, Ms. Kelly demonstrated just how far germs can spread when we don’t cover our mouths and noses. Now, everyone in 1L is inspired to become a PDI (Protect Don't Infect) agent. Thank you, Ms. Kelly, for such an engaging and important lesson!

The students in 5B demonstrated incredible generosity this holiday season with their "Tuesday Lunch Project." Working together as a team, they planned, organized, and collected items to assemble nutritious lunches for families in need. Every student actively participated in an assembly line, contributing to the creation of 36 lunches. To add a special touch, each student also created a heartfelt holiday card or picture to accompany the lunches, spreading joy and cheer to those receiving them. The 5B class truly embodies the spirit of giving this holiday season, and we are incredibly proud of their compassion and hard work! The 36 lunches were donated along with our regular Tuesday Lunches that are delivered to St. Joseph's Social Service Center each week.
