In celebration of Hispanic culture, WHS students in Ms. Pedde's Spanish 2 Honors learned about the artwork of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo (specifically her self portraits) and created their own display in the World Language hallway.

Under the guidance of art teacher Rebecca Davenport, students in all grades at Franklin work together on large paper murals based on the school's theme book, "The Circles All Around Us", which focuses on expanding your "circle" to include others.

As we celebrate Hispanic / LatinX Heritage Month, the students in Senora Maver's Spanish class studied influential Hispanic Americans to learn about their impact on culture and community.
Earlier this month, McKinley 4th graders in Ann Minski's class utilized creativity and kindness to decorate Color-a-Smile coloring pages as part of National Day of Service (9/11). The colorful pages were distributed to nursing homes and hospitals to cheer the residents.
