Title IX / Notice of Nondiscrimination

Westfield Public Schools is committed to providing an educational and working environment free from discrimination on the basis of sex.

No person in the United States, on the basis of sex, shall be excluded from participation, be denied the benefits orf, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance. The District does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its education programs or activities, including admission and employment, and is required by Title IX and its implementing regulations not to discriminate in such a manner.

Questions regarding the application of Title IX to Westfield Public Schools may be referred to the District's Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights, or both.
