October 23 is Mole Day! Chemistry students celebrated Mole Day by making t-shirts and challenging others to guess how many moles of water are in their water bottle for a prize. What is a Mole? It is just a grouping unit. Just like a dozen is 12, a mole is 6.02 x10 to the 23rd.

Students in AP Environmental Science traveled to Sandy Hook for a hands-on lesson. Students took profiling data to evaluate the impact of the northeaster and assess whether the beach is building or eroding, were introduced to the historical and ecological history of Sandy Hook, and went out into the salt marsh and Bay area to evaluate the biodiversity of juvenile species that came out of the bay during low tide.
