After monitoring weather conditions overnight, all Westfield Public Schools will have a delayed opening today (Wednesday), January 17 to allow time for the DPW and our buildings and grounds crews to address icy conditions. Today, students wrapped up their "Show and Tell" writing unit with a celebration. Students gave each other feedback using post-its with symbols.
Students were excited to share their work with friends from different tables, and even more excited to compliment each other's hard work!





Special thanks goes out to Mr. Carmine and Mr. Robert for working hard to keep our sidewalks and paths safe. They have been clearing and salting all day!
Please exercise caution at dismissal today. Despite our best salting efforts, the paths keep refreezing.

This week we launched Writers Workshop with "show and tell" writing. Students delighted in sharing their most special items from home. Students know that skilled writers write about what they know.
