January is School Board Recognition Month! Remember to thank our dedicated Board members for their service.

Second grade students in Class 2D worked together to investigate solids and liquids. These young scientists had to use their senses to investigate 5 different materials and make claims about whether the particles are solids or liquids. The students had fun while learning in science.

Class 4P celebrated the winter holidays with personalized “compliment presents” to spread kindness and cheer. Each student wrote 6 notes on the paper presents and also received 6 from their peers. This activity helps promote positive classroom community. We hope you have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Early dismissal on Friday, December 23. Wishing all a restful Winter Break. Look forward to welcoming back students and staff on Monday, January 2.

Our students enjoyed a wonderful music program today. The Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band and Broadway Singers from Edison Intermediate School performed some holiday and winter songs for us. The students were so impressive and talented. It is inspiring for all our students to see such talent on stage. Some of our former Jaguars were among the many who performed. Thank you to all the EIS music teachers for providing this to our students and staff.

Buddy classes from 1K and 2D celebrated the holiday season by creating sock snowmen. Partnerships worked together in following step by step directions to complete the project. They filled socks with rice and attached rubber bands to create their snowmen. Using a fuzzy sock, they gave their snowmen colorful accessories. Some students decided to gift their snowmen to family or friends. We wish you all a happy holiday season!
