Our teachers are learning from one another during this afternoon's staff in-service meeting. Teachers brainstormed and shared culturally responsive practices and strategies. Everyone walked away with new ideas to try!

Our afternoon session begins with an engaged teacher audience.
Our students have started growing peas, tomatoes, lettuce, and broccoli indoors. They will be observing and tending to the plants daily. Once the weather warms up, the students will transplant them into our outdoor garden.

Today we kicked off Read Across America with drop everything and read at Jefferson School. All students and staff gathered together in the hallways to read quietly for 10 minutes before resuming their afternoon activities. It was magical!
