Today was Walk to School Day! Our students received stickers and signed posters upon arrival. Jazzy and Mayor Brindle also made an appearance to support our students and families. Thank you to our PTO for organizing this event.

Our first graders enjoy learning with partners.

Reminder: Schools will be closed on Monday, September 25.

We had a fun and entertaining assembly program called Brain Games Challenge. The students were divided into the red or blue team. There was much student participation, excitement, and laughter. Thank you to our Cultural Arts Committee and PTO for bringing this program to us!

Learning is taking place in all classrooms and leaning spaces! Our students are enjoying learning about one another and doing a fine job following teacher expectations.

We had a fun day! We welcomed excited students at arrival this morning. Our teachers and staff greeted the students with smiles and warmth. The students were engaged in morning meetings and other get to know you activities. Thank you to all the teachers, staff and parents for making today a great first day for our students!

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer! With the help and generosity of our PTO, we hosted our annual Summer Ice Pop Social. It was a great turnout on a beautiful summer day for families and students to mingle, meet new friends and reconnect. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

We celebrated our 5th grade students with a Move Up Ceremony and Clap Out. Good luck at the intermediate schools!

As we wind down the school year, students continue to do their best to stay focused on learning tasks.

One of our 5th graders, Daniel, won the principal's basket from the PTO adult social - He is to serve as vice principal for a day at Jefferson! This is a big school so the vice principal was kept busy all day. He did a fantastic job!

Mrs. Meyer hosted a folkdance night for 3rd grade families. It was so much fun dancing and moving about! Students learned some of the dances during the year and they were able to take the lead when dancing with their family members and friends. What a great night!

The Board approved new district administration appointments at last night's meeting. Congratulations to Dr. Greer, Mrs. Schall, and Mrs. McCabe! https://www.westfieldnjk12.org/article/1149081
