The Pumpkin Fair is underway! What a day for this great Franklin tradition! The Cookie Walk, bouncy houses, face painting, games, the DUNK tank!!! It's great to see former families and students volunteering.
5th grade students enjoyed using our newly created outdoor classroom in art with Mrs. Davenport this week. They sketched from real-life fall objects—corn, leaves, and pumpkins—to create still life drawings. The focus was on sketching as a planning tool, practicing realistic drawing, and exploring composition. It was the perfect autumn setting to spark creativity!
Congratulations to our Music Students of the Month! Their kindness, hard work and dedication to music made them stand out!
A few Westfield principals bumped into the Mayor while accepting our Gold certificates at the New Jersey EZ Ride Safe Routes to School ceremony!
Lochlan, one of our 5th grade student leaders, made an announcement about Yom Kippur to help inform our student body about fasting (for adults) or giving up things like candy or screen time (for kids) as is customary for preparing for the new year ahead. Thanks Lochlan!
