🎉 Great energy and excitement across Westfield Public Schools as we welcomed our teachers back for the 2026-2027 school year! We are so grateful for the enthusiasm, collaboration, and commitment our staff bring as we get ready to welcome students back! 💙
We've been busy these last two days getting ready for the school year! Teachers have had training. We are also planning for the new phone/smart watch policies. As always, we've also been working on data driven instruction to help meet student needs. Our PTO also held a Welcome Back Luncheon for our staff! We can't wait to see our students on Tuesday, September 1st!

As we prepare for a new school year, we are excited to welcome the newest members of the Westfield Public Schools team! 💙 Our New Staff Institute is the perfect opportunity to meet, learn, and prepare for the year ahead. Welcome to Westfield!

Thank you to the township for getting the word out about the new traffic patterns. Parents, please note the signage (especially near the carloop) and determine how it impacts your family's arrival and dismissal routines.

We are getting ready for our 1st grade Meet and Greet on Thursday, August 27 at 2:30. We can't wait! The new 1st grade line-up spots have been labeled and are ready to go. Families can start planning their arrival and dismissal routines now.

The Franklin Car Loop is getting some finishing touches. There will be some changes to the traffic flow. More information will be in the Franklin Update!

We've been busy!! Just about everything gets cleaned, shined and refreshed over the summer! Rugs get washed. Carts of Chromebooks get upgraded and checked. Tons of deliveries for anything from paper clips and pencils to science materials and textbooks get delivered, sorted and placed in classrooms. Walkie talkies get checked and repairs are happening all around the building! Plus, our referendum projects are underway!!
We can't wait to see everyone back in a few weeks!

More progress is made every day!

The Franklin School referendum projects are off to a fast start! We have a new area by the playground that was added. Our improved main entrance with an accessible ramp is ready for construction and the side of the building on Newton Place is going to have a car loop for our AM carline.

Construction is officially underway on our Referendum projects! This summer’s work includes site work, HVAC relocation, a new drive loop and canopy, restroom renovations, and Learning Commons updates.
More updates to come as work continues this summer.

Wishing our students, staff, families, and community a safe, joyful, and healthy Independence Day. 🇺🇸

Students in 3P and 3B shared their family backgrounds during World Heritage Day. We have lots of diversity to celebrate at Franklin!

3rd graders went on a walking trip of Westfield!

5th Grade is having a glow party for their send off celebration!

Ni hao! Our second graders celebrated China Day today. They learned how to write Chinese symbols, speak Chinese words, create dragons, practice tai chi, and made kites.
