Franklin 2nd graders explore standard units of measure, creating a footlong ruler and measuring items throughout the classroom.




RIS students in Robotics learn how gear trains can increase the speed of their robots. The students then design, build, and program dragster robots to compete in a knockout-style, head-to-head race. Principal Brian Gechtman says: "The winner is the last bot standing! "



And that's a wrap. Whether daytime or evening performances, our holiday concerts - like this Grade 5 Strings Concert at Tamaques - were a huge hit with all audiences.




Students in 6th grade science at Edison use bubbles to study membranes. "Their observations of the experiment helped them to complete models on what they learned," says principal LaNova Schall.

Kicking off its new First Generation College Student Program, WHS Counseling took 11th and 12th graders to Montclair State University, where they toured, dined on campus, and attended an Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) info session. “The students were engaged and asked great questions,” says K-12 Counseling Director Falynn Balassone, who teamed up with the World Languages Department.
