Edison students played a trivia game with Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC) Ms. Wilson, displaying their ability to make healthy choices and take positive action when faced with difficult decisions in their everyday lives.

Lots of celebrations of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in our schools. Franklin 4th graders participated in fun, engaging lessons, including listening to the story, Martin's Big Words, and creating a collage of words they felt were important to Dr. King and his legacy.

Check it out! The first of two buses purchased by the District has arrived, as we work to address transportation and fiscal challenges and create opportunities to connect students to expanded educational experiences in the community.

As part of the Safe Routes to School Program, our 2nd graders received valuable lessons on pedestrian safety. Here's what it looked like at McKinley and Franklin.





An 8th grade art lesson at Roosevelt. Students use tile, stained glass pieces, shells, and beads to design and create a tile mosaic on a glass votive that will become a functional candle holder.


Lincoln students came together for a Positive Behavior Assembly, revisiting school-wide expectations, "Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Responsible," with engaging songs, fun role-playing, and calming mindfulness activities.


Our students love when authors visit to share their love of reading, along with valuable writing tips. McKinley 4th and 5th graders enjoyed a visit last month from local author Matthew Myklusch , who shared the inspiration for his characters and previewed his most recent novels.
