students enjoy the view from our hike

Our fifth graders enjoyed an unforgettable overnight adventure at Fairview Lake! Students spent two exciting days exploring the outdoors, trying new activities, building confidence, and strengthening friendships with their classmates.

The experience included a variety of hands-on activities, including archery, survival skills, candle making, rock climbing, and lake limnology. From testing their aim and learning outdoor survival techniques to scaling climbing walls and exploring the science of the lake, students had plenty of opportunities to challenge themselves, discover new interests, and learn beyond the classroom.

The adventure continued after the day's activities as students settled into their cabins, shared meals in the dining hall, and enjoyed the special excitement of spending the night away with their classmates. There was no shortage of laughter, conversation, and memories made along the way—including the fun bus rides to and from Fairview Lake!

Beyond the activities themselves, the overnight trip provided valuable opportunities for teamwork, independence, problem-solving, and connection. Our fifth graders returned to Washington with new experiences, wonderful stories, and memories they will carry with them long after the school year ends.

What a fantastic adventure for our Washington Wildcats!
