My name is Jaime LaRosa and I am the student support counselor at Jefferson and Washington school. I meet with children individually to help with any problems that may be going on (social, academic, behavioral, emotional, etc). The children also may have the opportunity to participate in "lunch clubs". These clubs meet during their lunch time (when they eat, not during recess). We play various games that help to promote social skills, decision making, problem solving and self-esteem. At times, I also go into the classroom and teach lessons. Some topics may include: bullying, tattle tales, anger management, conflict resolution, etc.
