Respect is a Wilson School pillar of character each and every day. During the first week of October, our students take a little extra time to discuss what it means to be respectful at school, at home, and in our communities. This week in libary, students read the text "Tomorrow I'll Be Kind" and created bookmarks to spread the kindness to their peers when they check out books.

Schools are closed on Monday, October 10. Staff will have an in-service day.

Wilson's first and fourth grade and second and fifth grade buddies met and completed "get to know you" activities. Throughout the year, they will collaborate on reading, writing, and other special projects.

October 2 is National Custodian Day. We're grateful to these dedicated professionals who work hard to keep our buildings and grounds clean and safe. When we asked students if our custodians are superheroes, the answer was a resounding "YES!" https://youtu.be/wp716Z8C2Vo

Students in Mrs. Kasemeyer's second grade class engaged in a discussion about different types of communities during social studies. They were able to make connections between what they learned and what they know about the Westfield community and other communities they have visited.
