Indoor recess?!?? Believe it or not, today is only the second indoor recess of the school year! Many students take advantage of this time to foster their creativity by building blocks, legos, coloring and painting !
Native American Heritage Month! Our students are learning all about Native Americans and have enjoyed the read aloud, My Powerful Hair by Carole Lindstrom. Did you know Native Americans believe that our hair holds our memories?
"Yell-o" Today, Tamaques recognized and participated in World Kindness Day by wearing yellow and saying "hello" to new "friends." Students and staff wore name tags so "friends" would know who they were speaking to!

Tamaques School "Mock Election" happening now. Our students have been learning all about the Presidential election process and the right to vote. TAM students will vote for either a 20-30 minute extra recess or a move day on the 1/2 day before Thanksgiving!

An eventful morning! All of our drill practice payed off this morning as we encountered an unexpected smoke condition just before student arrival. All turned out to be OK. Special thanks to the WFD and WPD for their assistance . Job well done !
