Congratulations to the "Senators from Hawaii", their proposed bill was signed into Law earlier this week.
Model Congress Update: The top "Senators" from each class presented to President Gechtman and he was able to Veto or approve the bills into Law!
March is Youth Art Month and Music In Our Schools Month. We're kicking both off with an Opening Reception on Tuesday, March 5 from 4:30-6:30p at the Roig Collection. We hope to see you there, as we celebrate the arts in our schools!
Student Assistance Coordinator, Mrs. Trottere set up a table in the cafeteria providing information, resources, and an activity that challenged students to think about all the amazing things our bodies do for us.
8th grade Arts & Crafts students explored the arts and crafts of South America and Africa and their influence on modern artists. They worked collaboratively to create their choice of large scale African mask or collage painting.
RIS students were engaged in a schoolwide presentation performed by Living Voices titled "The Right to Dream".
Students talked about circuits today in Ms. Goodwin’s class and created a light up Valentine’s Day card!

This week is National School Counselor Week and we are excited to recognize the great work this department does each and every day. Students in Ms. Goodwin's TED class were challenged to use only one piece of paper and a pair of scissors to make a hole large enough to fit their body through it. They problem-solved together and were able to fit the entire class through one piece !
