How far can a paper airplane fly? The 6th graders enjoyed the beautiful June weather while developing their skills with analyzing and displaying numerical data. They sought to answer this statistical question by collecting data related to airplane flights. Students independently made their planes, launched them and measured their flight distances. Once all data is collected, students will create histograms to display their class’s data and compare data with that from other classes.

This week 8th grade students investigated how plants reproduce. They began by looking at lima bean seeds and dissecting flowers.

6th grade Social Studies classes were actively engaged in simulating the Hindu and Buddhist celebrations known as Lay Krathong and Holi. Lay Krathong is a Spring ritual of releasing concerns and worries by launching small organic rafts into the sea, while Holi is known for being a colorful celebration of the triumph of good over evil.

The Board held its reorganization meeting last night. Following the swearing in of Leila Morrelli, Sonal Patel, and Julie Steinberg, Board members elected Robert Benacchio as Board President and Sonal Patel as Board Vice President. Congratulations to all!

Mental Health Awareness Week kicked off with some Yoga exercises! Our students thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the outdoor activity.
