During the lunch periods, students enjoyed meeting with a representative from Caring Contact, an award-winning, volunteer-staffed caring and crisis hotline and listening community.
Students enjoyed participating in the "Be a Lifesaver" lunchroom activity with Mrs. Trottere, our Student Assistance Counselor. Students learned important facts about mental health, how to help a friend who is struggling, and what resources are available when a person is going through an emotionally challenging time.
This 6th grade class is incorporating ZenDoodle/Zentangle art into our SEL activities, starting with a discussion on simple ways to stay calm and focused. By creating fun, intricate patterns and mini abstract works, students can relax, improve focus, and express themselves creatively, helping them manage stress and emotions in a positive way.
