First graders in Ms. Caruana's class read nonfiction books in their Book Club groups. They then did some research and created posters to present to the class. Public speaking can be a little scary at first but in the end, everyone learned a lot and it was fun!

Second grade and fourth grade buddies worked together on an upcycling project to celebrate Earth Day. Students brought in recycling products from home and brainstormed ways to create something new. Thank you to 4-Z and 2-P for these great photos.

Beautiful afternoon for our 2023 McKinley Autism Awareness Staff Kickball Game!



All MCK students were dazzled by an inflatable planetarium right in our own gymnasium today. Each grade level visited the SkyDome and experienced an interactive tour of the solar system. Thank you PTO for bringing the SkyDome to McKinley!

Our 2nd graders are learning about Kenya this week in Social Studies. In Mrs. Schrader's class, students had a very interesting discussion about how Kenya is both similar to and different from our country. They really thought about their responses and gave some wonderful examples!
