Our MCK Fifth Grade Roller Coaster Kerfuffle took place today and it was AWESOME! Our students designed roller coasters with cardstock templates, scotch tape, and that's it! Each roller coaster had a theme and visitors were challenged to launch a marble from top to bottom. Special thanks to Mr. Will Hannis for taking the lead on this collaborative STEM project and thank you to all of our 5th grade teachers for giving students the opportunity to engage in such meaningful work. We also appreciate the support of our generous PTO. Amazing job, 5th grade engineers!
Today was Wellness Day at McKinley and our students all engaged in activities that focused on health and wellness. From yoga to art to gardening to the amazing therapy dogs, everyone had fun and learned about ways to relax and decompress. Thank you to Mrs. Echeverry and her team for organizing this special day for our students. It was a beautiful day for our school community!
