Our latest Character Education assembly included a reading of the Wrinkled Heart which highlighted the need to think before we speak, not to let a negative comment sidetrack your day and the power of a heartfelt apology! As always, we got help from our 5th grade leaders who did a skit to bring this idea to life! We unlocked our next "key to unlocking good character word" of the month: courage!
Sophia's Book Stand, started by an amazing Franklin student, created a coloring station to decorate bags that will be filled with books for children in need. Thanks Sophia!
4th graders enjoyed a visit from the Liberty Science Center. They learned about making clouds, electrons and so much more!
More community service fun!
Students made friendly, funny video messages to send to seniors at McAuley Hall! They sang songs and told jokes!
Community Service Night is packed with good deeds. Donations are being assembled for St. Josephs, Shannon's Table, Moms Helping Moms, Sophia's Book Stand, St. Hubert's, Caring Contact, Volunteers of America, McCauley Hall and Franklin's own Project Playground!

Our Student Council members, Meghan, Sophia and Grace updated the school about Women's History Month. We learned about Taylor Swift, Helen Keller and Maya Angelou. Thanks girls!
More Pi Day!
For Women's History Month, Sydney made an announcement about Frida Kahlo. Mrs. Davenport has also worked with students to create colorful visuals about female artists and displayed them around the school!
Bella and Victoria, members of our Students Council's "celebrations committee" made an announcement over the loud speaker about the start of Ramadan. They explained some basic facts like fasting. They also explained that to wish someone Happy Ramadan you can say, "Ramadan Mubarak."
Pi Day was a hit! Students explored concepts and took on challenges!

Roosevelt Middle School band students performed for Franklin today. They were wonderful! They even had a couple of guest conductors and continued making beautiful music!
