His Royal Highness, Prince Topher, would like to invite the students and faculty of EIS to this year's spring musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, The tale of a girl named Ella who has 2 step-sisters and an evil step-mom, Madame. Ella, with the help of her fairy godmother, finds herself at the royal ball, where she meets a Prince Topher and learns that, with kindness, anything is possible. EIS Student Government Association (SGA) officers took time to meet with Mr. Dom, who is in charge of the cafeteria service, to propose some new additions to the lunch menu. It was fantastic to watch these student leaders advocate for changes in a thoughtful and respectful way. Great job SGA!

Students in the French classes here at EIS have decorated elaborate floats in celebration of Mardi Gras. Our students in the Spanish classes have to vote on the Most Creative and Most Spirited floats. Good luck everyone and Happy Mardi Gras!


During today's February Advisory lesson, students learned how emotions work to influence their feelings and their judgement. Students discussed how important it is for us all to be able experience a range of emotions and be able to recognize how their emotions can shape their reactions to events.

Throughout this Week of Kindness, Edison School students were recognized and celebrated for their acts of kindness towards one another and their teachers.

Students in Madame Young's 6th grade French class performing their Cafe skit. They were dedicated to this activity with their costumes, props, and fluency in the target language. Bravo!



Today, Edison students took part in a moving and powerful assembly "Through the Eyes of a Friend" sponsored by Living Voices. The students participated in a retelling of the story of Anne Frank. While the assembly informed the students of the hate and racism that occurred under the Nazi regime, they also learned of the brave men and women who risked themselves to save others.
