This week, students attended grade-level meetings to hear from administrators and counselors about expectations for the school year. The discussions focused on how to build a positive school community by showing respect and being a constructive member of the school family.
School Resource Officer (SRO) Bernal also spoke to the students about hate speech. He defined hate speech, provided relevant facts, and explained the serious consequences of engaging in such behavior. Students were highly receptive, engaged, and participated actively by asking and answering questions.

Mr. Lazarow's ELA classes participated in an egg-citing activity! 🥚 Students used their creativity and teamwork to design and build protective houses for an egg drop. The goal? To create a structure that could safely land an egg without a crack. The results were incredible, and we loved seeing all the innovative designs.

Dear EIS Families,
For the safety of our students, staff, and community members, we are asking all families to carefully review the attached color-coded traffic map, created by the Westfield Police Department’s Traffic Bureau.
This map highlights important guidelines to help ensure that our drop-off and pick-up procedures run smoothly and, most importantly, safely. We ask that you take a moment to familiarize yourself with the designated areas and follow the outlined directions each day.
Your cooperation will make a significant difference in maintaining a safe and efficient process for everyone.
