The 1st Annual Grads Return program from the WHS Counseling Department was an excellent opportunity for 11th and 12th graders to learn about post-secondary life. The program also included a career panel for 9th and 10th graders. https://www.westfieldnjk12.org/article/1939546



Franklin 2nd graders explore standard units of measure, creating a footlong ruler and measuring items throughout the classroom.



RIS students in Robotics learn how gear trains can increase the speed of their robots. The students then design, build, and program dragster robots to compete in a knockout-style, head-to-head race. Principal Brian Gechtman says: "The winner is the last bot standing! "


And that's a wrap. Whether daytime or evening performances, our holiday concerts - like this Grade 5 Strings Concert at Tamaques - were a huge hit with all audiences.



Whether building with blocks, exploring art, or playing pretend, our preschool centers reinforce key social and academic skills like sharing, problem-solving, communication, and creativity.

Students in 6th grade science at Edison use bubbles to study membranes. "Their observations of the experiment helped them to complete models on what they learned," says principal LaNova Schall.



The BOE loves celebrating students and staff! Last night, WHS Chorale members provided a beautiful holiday performance, followed by recognition of our State Champion Girls Soccer team and sectional champs Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Boys XC, and Girls XC's Anna Kylish.
