22 Westfield students in grades K-5 took part in the Multilingual Learners (ML) Summer Experience, a two-week summer camp that provides meaningful enrichment activities to help students continue their English language acquisition. https://www.westfieldnjk12.org/article/1685796

Our school custodial and maintenance teams are the quiet heroes of summer (and year-round!), working tirelessly to ensure everything is clean, repaired, and ready for students' return in September. Here's a recent glimpse at McKinley.

Lots of learning and fun, while strengthening skills during our Extended School Year Program for students in preschool through high school who have been identified as those who would benefit from additional instruction and related services during the summer.


The last gathering of a three-day leadership retreat as district administrators refresh, recharge, and prepare for the new school year. Agenda topics include resilience, Year 2 of the Strategic Plan, and continued focus on the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

STEM campers in grades 6-8 are enjoying a week of hands-on learning and exploration. Building solar panel -operated boats and experimenting with dry ice in "Mind Blowing Science" are among the educational (and fun!) activities.

Rocketry, robotics, and engineering challenges... just a few of the engaging courses offered during our popular summer STEM Camp. Students in grades 6-8 are enjoying a range of experimentation and exploration this week.
