The Westfield High School Marching Band proudly showcased its 2025 production, True Colors, this past weekend, earning 1st place in the AAAA division at the New Jersey Marching Band Directors Association contest held at East Brunswick High School. The Marching Blue Devils also received caption awards for Best Visual and Best Effect.
“We’re so proud of how our students continue to represent themselves, our program, and the Westfield community with excellence,” said Band Director Gabe Batiz. “Every performance is a step forward, and this weekend their hard work, resilience, and commitment to one another were on full display—perfectly reflecting the growth we’ve seen all season. Seeing our students, staff, and families come together around this show has been truly inspiring. It’s what makes the Marching Blue Devils experience so special.”
Competing among 16 bands from across the state, Westfield also earned an impressive fourth place overall.
The Marching Blue Devils will perform at the Bands of America Regional on Saturday, October 25 at the University of Delaware, followed by the New Jersey State Championships on Sunday, November 2 at The College of New Jersey.
