It doesn't matter if it is Bob or Not Bob -- I can read!

Having fun learning about long vowel patterns.

The PTO's Caring and Sharing Committee delivered a CRV-load of presents to be distributed to local families who need them.

Revising our realistic fiction stories (setting, characters, dialog)

Let's map some words. We'll break the words into sounds (phonemes) so I will know the sounds that make up words (each sound gets a box -- not each letter).

Third graders build distinctive shapes and designs for their gingerbread houses. They describe their creations so that when the first graders visit the next day they will be able to find one unique home from among 24 others.

Second graders were shocked when we let them write on the table. Whoops!

Have you noticed our new picket fence? Now you know who to thank for it. Good fences make good neighbors.

Each year at Thanksgiving, middle school teacher Marrisa Conneely does a project with her eighth graders: They write a note to one of their elementary teachers that begins with “I am thankful for ….” There are always astonishing revelations – what was important to them, what they remember most, that they loved being in your class and you never knew it. To know that the effort and caring you gave to your students when you were not quite sure anyone was listening, that those actions really did grow and blossom in the universe, makes our hearts melt.
