One of the things that we focus on when helping children learn how to write well is conferencing. Conferences can have a different focus each time, such as goal-setting, strategy, coaching, compliment, assessment and more.

We are so fortunate to have so many parents who are willing to share their cultural and religious heritage with us. We learned about Diwali -- the Festival of Lights. The students listened to a book, watched a presentation and then got to paint sun catchers.

Last Friday children's author teacher Angela LaCarrubba read stories to our children about goodwill and thoughtfulness. Can you tell from the picture that she is a former teacher (at Wilson School)?! Ask your children about the event!
