Wednesday, January 15, 2026...As part of our second year implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), we continue to strengthen our shared commitment to our schoolwide core values: Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Responsible.
Yesterday, we held a mid-year PBIS booster assembly to re-energize these expectations—and it was a joy-filled success! This entirely homegrown assembly featured our very own staff and students acting out real-life scenarios, leading cheers, practicing mindful breathing, and even welcoming some very special superhero visitors who helped remind us what our core values look like in action.
Our bucket-filling system remains a powerful, evidence-based way we recognize positive behavior through frequent, tangible, and behavior-specific praise. It was especially meaningful to see students later in the day using this same language independently—during free play on the playground and throughout choice time in classrooms.
When students demonstrate safe, kind, and responsible behaviors, they are not only filling their individual buckets—they are filling our schoolwide bucket, helping to create learning spaces that are positive, supportive, and full of joyful learning.
