Graphic noting Save the Date

Westfield High School's "No Place for Hate" committee will host both a community movie night and a community book read in the weeks ahead. The movie night takes place on Friday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m. in WHS Cafeteria B. High school and intermediate school students, staff and parents are invited to watch and discuss the film Hidden Figures, and to discuss its importance in chronicling both African-American history and women's history.

The community book read will take place on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in the WHS Library, again with all high school and intermediate school students, staff and parents invited. We are reading and discussing the book I Will Always Write Back, the true story of two students who connect across an ocean and deeply impact each other's lives. The Westfield Education Association (WEA) has funded the purchase of books for those interested. Please feel free to click on this Google Form to reserve a book.

Snacks will be provided for both events. For more information, please reach out to WHS assistant principal Warren Hynes at whynes@westfieldnjk12.org
