Planning To Retire?

Please use the Retirement Steps to Follow document (below) to help make your retirement process a smooth transition.

To initiate your Retirement:

Any District employee who desires to retire from his/her position shall submit a letter of resignation for the purpose of retirement which indicates the date which the employee intends as his/her last day at work. This letter should be addressed to the Superintendent and your principal/supervisor. The effective date shall be the day following the last day worked/in paid status. Advance notice, appropriate for the position held, is encouraged and appreciated.

Once a retirement  is acknowledged by the District, the notice will be presented at the next Board meeting, If you wish to rescind or change your separation, you must submit a new request. 

Payroll will send an email with all retirement information, retirement steps checklist, important contacts and forms, if applicable, to get you started.
