Intro to Architecture

Introduction to Architecture (Full year)  *NEW COURSE!

The goal of Introduction to Architecture is to prepare students to be active problem-solvers, independent design-thinkers, and collaborators through real-world architectural projects and scenarios. This course will introduce students to the principles of architecture with an emphasis on creativity and design. Programs such as Autodesk REVIT will be taught to further expose students to drafting programs used in the real world. Model-making, material selection, and furniture boards will be incorporated into each project. It will show students how architecture can make an impact on the human experience, which students will embrace through each project independently. Introduction to architecture will serve as an entry-level course to prepare students for Architecture II, which will focus on more high-level topics such as building codes, ADA, and commercial design.
