The Westfield High School Science Curriculum is designed to build upon a student's knowledge and experiences in grades K - 8, and present them with subject-specific learning experiences to further their development while preparing them for college and career.
As students progress through grades 9 - 12 they are provided science opportunities in four distinct areas: Earth and Space Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Students have multiple pathways that are available to them - for specific information and requirements for graduation please see the WHS Program of Students (link in the menu to the right).
Course Curricula for WHS Science are developed using the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Science, which are directly based on the Next Generation Science Standards. A link to the science course descriptions is below.
