The Westfield School District is committed to reducing its impact on the environment. The generation of renewable energy demonstrates our commitment to sustainable building practices. It is anticipated that the clean energy generated by the 4,865 solar panels located on five buildings in our district will provide electrical power and significant cost savings at our various facilities over the next few years. The solar array is owned, operated and maintained by NJR Clean Energy Ventures. GeoPeak Energy LLC developed and constructed the solar project and Altec Building Systems was the union contractor.
