READ TO THE RIALTO!
On Monday, December 7, we will begin our reading challenge for the 2009-2010 school year. If we meet our goal of reading 19,000 books, the entire school will go see a movie on May 26, 2010, at the Rialto Theatre. As we read, we will use a map of Westfield to chart the landmarks on the way from Franklin School to the Rialto. Each time we read 1,000 books, we will reach a different landmark. We would like parents to track the number of books their children read. Volunteer parents will update our map each week. Please encourage your children to try different authors, genres, and series as part of this challenge. This is a great reading incentive program that we hope will be fun for all. Happy Reading! |
