About Pandora's Box:
Three precocious kids stumble across the legendary Pandora’s Box, which the Greek gods long ago filled with evil vices and cautioned mankind never to open. Like all humans before them, the kids can’t resist and they unwittingly unleash four mischievous villains from ancient Greek mythology: greedy Midas; jealous Medusa; vain Narcissus; and intolerant Ares. The foursome immediately gets to work in gleefully spreading their vices throughout Washington School, infecting children with their particular bad quality.
After chiding them for their curiosity, Zeus, King of the Gods, explains to the three kids the trouble they’ve caused, but makes it clear that they need to figure out how to fix it themselves. Fortunately, they are eventually able to find a way to enlist the help of four mythical characters who can serve as antidotes to the vices they unleashed: generous Prometheus; loving Cupid; humble Arachne; and grateful Lakshmi.
Despite this welcome assistance, the vices will not go quietly. Our three heroes and their friends go from classroom to classroom, battling with the vices for the hearts of their school friends. Can they remove the stain of greed, jealousy, vanity and intolerance from Washington School? Can they succeed in forcing the villains back into Pandora’s Box…this time for good? For now, only the gods know how the story ends.
