Please see Mrs. Fico for more information.
Girls Learn International
Girls Learn International (GLI) educates, raises awareness, and fundraises to provide girls across the world the opportunity to get an education. The Edison GLI club will work alongside the Roosevelt and WHS GLI clubs as we fundraise for our partner school in Africa where the girls still lag behind boys in access to education and where girls are far less likely than boys to stay in school past the primary grades. Girls that are not allowed an education must typically work to make money for their family or are forced into marriage at a young age. We will plan bake sales, and sporting events, and other fundraisers to raise awareness and funds to send to our partner school in Africa.
